Types LRS and LRV
Common Technical Features:
  • Designed for high radial and axial loads and meet the highest quality demands.

  • The high-precision bearings are arranged in the head of the housing and the taper end. 

 


 

 Applications:
  • Can be used as a tailstock center for face drivers.
  • When a specific tailstock pressure is required.
  • Used on multi-spindle machines or CNC-lathes with two tool turrets.
  • Replaces your R and RV models.

 

  • The bearings of this spring-loaded design is suitable for higher speeds.

  • High running accuracy.

  • The housing is hardened.

  • The rotary shaft seal protects the bearing from dirt and coolant.

  • Maintenance-free through permanent lubrication

  • Also available with draw-off thread and draw-off nut.

Type LRS: 
-With spring, pressure indication by yellow, green, and red colored rings and 60-degree centerpoint.

Applications:

  • For copy-turning, NC turning, finish-turning.
  • For turning operations in combination with a face driver.
  • When used on multiple spindle machines.
  • On NC lathes with two tool turrets.
  • Replaces Models R-3 through R-6.

  • Extended slim center point allows for unhindered work on parts.

How the Pressure Indicating Rings Work:

  • As you increase the tailstock force, the spring-loaded centerpoint compresses.

  • Based on the below chart, which is also marked on the side of each live center, the operator may determine how much tailstock force is being applied.
