LRE AND LDE TYPE

Design Line LRE and LDE
Common Technical Features:
  • Female centerpoint with 1:7.5 internal taper for use with 7 different forms of inserts.
  • Flexible application for different workpiece types.
  • Low repair costs - if the center diameter is worn, only the insert has to be changed.
  • Special Designs available.
  • Female centerpoint with 1:5 internal taper with two inserts - Forms ES and EH.  These models have the same technical data as the LRE and LDE but are named LRK and LDK (Direct replacement for RK and K).
Type LRE:
- High Performance live center with:  Spring loaded centerpoint for expansion compensation, and pressure indication by yellow, green and red colored rings.

Eccentricity:

  • Max. 0.008 mm, with test report

Applications:

  • For turning, CNC-turning, turning of components between live center and face driver, on multi-spindle machines and CNC lathes with two tool turrets.
  • When turning various workpieces.
  • As a tailstock center for face drivers.

Type LDE:
- High Performance live center with:  Spring loaded centerpoint for expansion compensation, 

Eccentricity:

  • Max. 0.008 mm, with test report

Applications:

  • For turning, CNC-turning.
  • When turning various workpieces.
  • Smaller range of spring movement than line LR (above).
  • Whenever thermal expansion occurs when machining longer or slender shafts.
