Design Line LD

Common Technical Features:
  • Designed for high radial and axial loads and meet the highest quality demands.
  • The high-precision bearings are arranged in the head of the housing and the taper end. 
  • The bearing of this spring-loaded design is suitable for higher speeds.
  • High running accuracy.
  • The housing is hardened.
  • The rotary shaft seal protects the bearing from dirt and coolant.
  • Maintenance-free through permanent lubrication
  • Also available with draw-off thread and draw-off nut.
 
Applications:
  • Whenever thermal expansion occurs when machining longer or slender shafts.
  • Replaces A, D, and V models.

 
Type LDS:
- Spring loaded for expansion compensation, without pressure indication, 60 degree centerpoint.

Applications:

  • For turning, CNC-turning, in precision design for cylindrical grinding. 
  • Replaces Models D-2A through D-6A

Applications:

  • Like LDS.
  • The extended slim centerpoint enables tools to work unhindered.
  • Replaces Models V-2A through V-5A

Form KA Interchangeable Tapered Caps:
- For each Type LDA live center, two hardened taper caps of different diameters are available.  

- Special designs upon request.

- The measure d2 of the taper cap is identical with the measure d2 of the basic body.  All caps include an extraction screw to simplify changing the caps.
